Glacier Guides provides professionally guided fly fishing trips at Glacier National Park, Montana. Drift Boats or Dories are used for floating the Flathead River, fly fishing for rainbows, cutthrouts and brook trout.%}%} Northwest Montana abounds with fishing opportunities. The Middle Fork and the North Fork of the Flathead River offer native cutthroat, rainbow and brook trout. The Smith River Adventure offers exceptional brown trout fishing. Fishing dories are our boat of choice. Custom over night or cabin adventures are great options. You're welcome to bring your own equipment, or you may reserve some of ours. Because of the need to protect our area fisheries, we are strong believers in catch-and-release fishing. We hope you'll assist us in our efforts.
Do we need a Montana State Fishing License?
Yes, you do for the rivers (if you are backpacking with us inside Glacier National Park you do not need a Montana License but you will need a copy of the NPS Fishing Regulations).
What License Do I Need to Fish
Montana FWP Online Licensing System
It is best to have a license in hand prior to meeting your guide at our office. We recommend printing one online or most fly shops and sporting goods stores in Montana sell them as well.
Randy Gayner is the licensed outfitter (#23) under the Montana Board of Outfitters for Glacier Guides.
