Montana Raft Company/Glacier Guides offers some distinct advantages on both day and overnight trips. Here are a few to consider.
-Guide Experience, Safety, Knowledge and Service. Over 90 percent of the Glacier Guides and Montana Raft Company's 70 member staff returns every season. Rafting guides are trained in Swiftwater Rescue in addition to all guides certified in Wilderness First Aid and CPR and NPS Bear Management Trainging.
-Interpretation and Preservation Focus. Chosen to be the exclusive hiking-guide service of Glacier National Park. Our focus on interpretation and preservation is unequalled. We teach and practice Leave No Trace on all of our trips and are part of the Uncommon Sense Program. We were presented an "EcoStar Award" for our pollution prevention efforts in 2013 from Montana State University in conjuction with the Montana Governor's office.
-We won't overstuff the boat! Montana Raft Company/Glacier Guides is the only raft company in West Glacier that puts 9 people or less per boat. Others pack in up to 14 people. What that means for you, everybody gets a window seat if you want one.
-No Hidden Charges. Montana Raft Company/Glacier Guides does not charge extra for wetsuits or booties, which are mandatory certain times of the year.
-Great Facilities. Montana Raft Company/Glacier Guides offers a lovely forested 5 acre property with nice restrooms, a volleyball court, horseshoes, free Wi-Fi, shaded parking, and picnic facilities.
-Equipment Quality. Our rafting department uses top quality Hyside boats, NRS equipment and other support gear. Our hiking equipment is Sierra Designs, Kelty, MSR, Katadyn and Therma-Rest.
-Lunches On-the-Go Enjoy great sandwiches, coffee, ice cream on the go or relax in our pavillion. Free Wi-Fi and computer to check your E-mail!
-We Do Not Use Billboards! We believe in protecting the scenic entrance to Glacier National Park, we do not use billboards, and we maintain a forested buffer on our 5 acre property along the entrance to Glacier.
-We Give Back. Montana Raft Company/Glacier Guides donates at least 1% of our profits to community and environmental causes. Just to name a few...
